Your Instructor
Kirstie Sherriff is an expert massage, beauty tutor with over 20 years industry experience. She has been responsible for developing treatment protocols and training therapists to have an elite 5* spa touch in many spas including Aman Global Resorts, Peninsula, Four Seasons, Atlantis, Beaverbrook, Cowley Manor, Cafe Royal and Calcot Manor to name just a few.
In 2015 John Lewis’s first concept spa & Beauty was added to this list. She started her qualification Training School Pinks Academy in 2003/4 as a 23 year old and it wasn’t long before we had 2 sites and were training over 1500 students a year. These schools were for complete beginners embarking on beauty, nail or holistic careers and qualified therapists looking to upgrade their skills. Pinks Academy and Kirstie taught over 30 different courses from NVQ2 Beauty through to Hopi Ear Candles and Reflexology.
Her parents and grandparents have wholesale professional hair and beauty businesses making her a third generation beauty expert. Her passion for travelling ensured exposure too many different spa cultures and she has studied massage all over Asia. Her husband Luke played top flight premiership rugby for nearly a decade so she also had a mass overexposure to sports massage and physios. Her teaching philosophy is based on the principal or putting the client at the centre of every touch and thought and with this she empowers therapists to be better, to think better and feel better.
For their clients they can then build and deliver stunning treatments and thus a profitable businesses with a strong repeat clientele. She is renowned for her attention to detail, trademark treatment twists and excellent tutor skills. She is co founder of Pinks Boutique and Proverb Skincare, Organic mummy of 2 to Layla (14) and Charlie (9) and has a BA Hons from Oxford University.
